Morning Brief

Privacy policy

Effective October 8, 2026. Morning Brief is operated by CrazyBlond LLC for Holly’s private planning workspace.

What the app accesses

Google access requires the account owner’s consent. Morning Brief requests read-only Gmail access and, for accounts used for calendars, read-only calendar event access. The Gmail permission permits reading messages; this implementation fetches message headers and metadata, not message bodies or attachments.

Email records contain the subject, sender, receiving time, account label, and a link to the message. Calendar records contain event titles, dates and times, calendar labels, and event links. Meeting descriptions and guest lists are omitted from saved dashboard records. Only the calendars selected by the owner are imported.

Etsy connection

With the shop owner’s approval, Morning Brief requests read-only purchase and sales access to identify physical orders and their payment, shipping, and expected ship dates. Etsy may return additional receipt information; the app saves only item titles and quantities, order identifiers, dates, and payment and shipping status. It does not save buyer addresses, buyer emails, customer messages, or tracking codes. Digital downloads are excluded from fulfillment records. Making stages and label stages are local owner notes and are not submitted to Etsy.

Etsy credentials are stored in an owner-only file on the local computer, outside the Obsidian vault. Etsy sends a short-lived approval code to this website’s completion page. The page removes it from the visible address and lets the owner copy it into the local dashboard, where it is validated and exchanged for private credentials. The hosting provider may process the incoming URL. The code expires and requires a proof key held only by the local dashboard. This page sends no shop records to the host.

How information is used

The app uses Google data to display calendar events and recent unread inbox candidates in the private dashboard. It does not send messages, change Google events, sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train artificial-intelligence models.

Morning Brief’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Storage and access

Google authorization credentials are saved in a private file on the owner’s computer, outside the Obsidian vault, with access restricted to the operating-system user. Saved email and calendar records are written to the local Obsidian workspace. Any backup, sync, or sharing configured for that workspace can also copy those records; the owner controls those services.

Requests to Google use encrypted HTTPS connections. The public information pages contain no dashboard records or Google credentials. The public website’s hosting provider may process standard request information, such as an IP address, to serve and protect these pages. These pages add no advertising or analytics scripts.

Retention and deletion

Saved records remain until refreshed or removed by the owner. On a failed refresh, the app retains the last successful records. Disconnecting Google access stops future authorized reads but does not automatically erase saved records or backups.

The owner can revoke Morning Brief’s access in Google Account connections. For help removing locally saved records or credentials, contact the operator using the address below.
